Geneva State Park Beach

Located in northeast Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie, Geneva State Park Beach is a popular spot for Ohio residents. It has a mile of shoreline and more than 600 acres of land. In addition to plenty of recreation, there are several points worth visiting, such as Minnewaska Falls and Blackhand Gorge.

One of the main features of Geneva State Park Beach is the one mile stretch of sandy beach. The swimming and boating areas are very clean and safe, and it’s easy to find a nice shady spot for relaxing on the grassy park grounds. Visitors can also enjoy an exciting golf course with manicured fairways and greens throughout the 600 acre property.

Headlands Beach

Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor Ohio is a 1,000 acre park that provides activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The park has hiking trails, picnic areas, and wildlife viewing opportunities. One of the main features of the park is the Lake Erie Marsh Boardwalk which will take you past the marsh birds and other wetland habitats. There are also other non-beach related activities you can do here like biking, fishing, boating, picnicking, and watching wildlife.

Kelleys Island State Park Beach

Headlands Kelleys Island State Park Beach is located on Kelleys Island in Lake Erie just off the shore from Sandusky, OH. The beach spans more than 2 miles of sandy shoreline along Lake Erie. It has a fishing pier, picnic areas with grills, restrooms and a concession stand where you can purchase snacks and beverages.

The beach is a restricted area from October 1st to May 15th for nesting birds. It is posted by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife with signs at the entrances to the park’s parking lot. There are many different species of birds on this part of the beach including the Piping Plover, which nests in small holes on the ground.

Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach is a beautiful spot on Lake Erie located in Bay Village, Ohio just a short drive from Cleveland. It’s a favorite spot for residents to enjoy walking along the beach, taking pictures of the rocks jutting off into the water, and enjoying a more natural version of a Lake Erie beach. Visitors can walk to Porter Creek, where you may find minnows, frogs, and other wildlife.
