Tennessee is a state with many natural treasures, from Nashville to Memphis to the Smoky Mountains. If you’re looking for some of the most pristine beaches in America, you should look to Tennessee. Tennessee has loads of gorgeous spots that rank among the best in the country.
The following are three beach destinations in the state of Tennessee that are worth checking out:
Paris Landing State Park
Located on Kentucky Lake and surrounded by woodlands, this state park is well known as a camping location on the lake that features beaches that can be used for swimming, boating, and fishing.
Rock Island State Park
While you won’t find sandy beaches at Rock Island State Park, you can find plenty of great swimming spots along Blue Hole. Many people enjoy swimming up to the many waterfalls along the river, especially Twin Falls and Great Falls. This is a popular destination on a hot summer Tennessee afternoon, so get here early!
Reelfoot Lake State Park
Those who visit the Reelfoot Lake State Park along Blue Basin may have trouble finding a beach location, but there are two located on the southwest corner of the lake on the opposite side of highway 21 known as Mgnolia Beach and Sunkist Beach. There is also a nearby dog park.
