Indian River Inlet Beach
Indian River Inlet Beach has a lot to offer as far as beaches go. You can swim, fish, surf and sunbathe on the beach during the day. Indian River Inlet also has some great restaurants nearby if you want to grab dinner before or after your time at the beach.
Cape Henlopen State Park
The first state park beach in Delaware is located on Cape Henlopen. It’s open year-round and has lifeguards that work 24 hours a day, seven days per week! The beach features picnic facilities with BBQ pits available for purchase as well so you can enjoy your meal while delighting eyes at the same time. You’ll also find restrooms near these spaces but they aren’t always accessible due to high tide or storms coming through – just make sure not to get caught off guard because this place does have electricity although sometimes power outages do happen too! There are fun activities planned throughout each summer including movies under stars every Saturday night starting in early June 13th through early September. Live music performances occur every Thursday evening throughout the summer.

At Fowler Beach, a haven for horseshoe crabs is located in Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. The sanctuary provides visitors with an opportunity to see these harmless creatures as they swarm ashore and breed from May-June every year! Try to keep a safe distance from the horseshoe crabs while observing them because if their efforts are disturbed it will just stress out those trying so hard already under pressure during spawning season – please flip them over instead if possible if they are on their backs!
